Hiring The Hall

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit is required (20% of the final hiring cost) within 7 days of making a booking. This amount will be deducted from your final bill. A refundable deposit of £70 for the use of the kitchen and any other equipment. Any cleaning costs or damages incurred will be deducted from this deposit.

Your booking will not be guaranteed if we do not receive a deposit.

Payment

The full balance must be paid 14 days before your booking date.

We accept cheque or cash, but not card. If paying by cheque please put the guarantee number on the reverse of the cheque.

Charges

 A subscription charge of £6.00 is required from any non-member wishing to book the bar facilities to cover the cost of signing-in fees.

Hall - £10.00 per hour up to 8pm
Hall and kitchen - £13.50 per hour up to 8pm
Hall - £13.00 per hour after 8pm
Hall and kitchen £14.50 per hour after 8pm

There will be an additional charge of £10 per hour if facilities are required outside of the usual opening times. Special rates are available for members of the club. Please ask for details.

Hiring Terms and Conditions

The committee reserve the right to refuse any request to hire the hall or the facilities without reason. The committee also reserves the right to require observance by the hirer of any special conditions (in addition to the standard conditions) in connection with hiring the hall.

The use of the hall by the hirer shall imply that the hirer agrees to the conditions of letting and to any special conditions imposed, and to pay all charges/costs. The hirer shall be responsible for contacting the secretary regarding the requirements for seating/crockery etc. Chairs and tables are available but the hirer is responsible for setting them up and packing them away again. The hall must be left in a clean and tidy condition.

The hirer must comply/agree with any legal enactment or requirement and shall absolve the committee from all such responsibility. The hirer should also take advice regarding/affecting adequate insurance cover in respect of all liabilities which may be accrued by the hirer in connection with use of the hall. The hirer must make arrangements with the secretary for the opening up and locking of the hall, and for returning the keys. Lost keys will incur a charge of £30.00 to cover the cost of replacing them. Any other service required must be made by private arrangement.

The hirer must ensure that any necessary license or permit is obtained, and comply with the instructions on the booking form/website if bar facilities are required.

The hirer must ensure that no obstruction is caused to fire exits.

All drinks must be purchased on the premises. Sufficient tables to be provided if drinks are taken into the hall area. Spillages must be cleaned up immediately. The hall floor must be protected from damage.

The hirer of the hall must ensure that any music is kept to a reasonable level, and noise be kept to a minimum when exiting the premises.

The hirer must ensure all rooms are left clean and returned as found. The cost of making good any damage or cleaning to building/fixtures/fittings are the hirer's responsibility. Any costs will be deducted from the deposit paid. If the cost of repairs/cleaning exceeds the deposit amount the hirer will be responsible for the remaining costs incurred. The hirer must not be allowed, except by the permission of the committee to store any equipment or materials on the premises. The committee reserve the right to review this at any time and charge. No alterations/extra settings or additions are to be made to any part of the property/equipment without written permission from the committee

Please do not stick or pin anything to the walls/doors.

NO UNDER AGE (18) DRINKING PERMITTED ON OR AROUND THE PREMISES. ANYONE PURCHASING ALCOHOL FOR UNDER AGE PERSONS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PREMISES. No illegal substances are to be brought onto the premises.

The committee shall not be responsible for any injury caused to persons using the hall or its facilities, or damage or loss of any property brought/left on the premises.
